The Nepal International Foundation is non-profit charitable offshore non-state foundation and blockchain trust dedicated to promoting the customs, culture and traditions of the indigenous and native peoples of Nepal on an international scale. The foundation promotes the tax-exempt fair-trade commerce of indigenous peoples artisan crafts, ecotourism in their communities, and their ecologically sustainable products like tea and traditional natural medicines.
Nepal has 125 ethnic castes and over 60 are distinct indigenous groups many of them with their own languages; smaller tribes have as few as 200 members such as the Kusunda people (autonomous hunter-gatherers) where only elders (60+) still speak or understand the language.
Over half of the 125 ethnic groups face diffusion and extinction during the 21st century into the ever more connected, tech-savvy and universal Nepal. Currently the United Nations and other international organizations have efforts underway to preserve and protect many of the peoples and places which have become most endangered or are part of their world heritage efforts.
The organization is responsible for funding efforts dedicated to promoting agricultural, ecological and recreational adventure tourism; as well as operated a sustainable development agenda that provides ecosystem services. The organization supports the ideals and institutions of the Nepali people overseas and abroad to exchange news, maintain a civil society and promote travel globally to Nepal as a destination.
Our organization cooperatively supports Shikhar News of Kathmandu which was created and is operated by its news bureau chief for Nepal, Ambassador Ram Bahadur Khatri Kshatri of Globcal International who initiated and founded the popular independent news channel. Across Nepal Shikhar News has been able to rank in the top 250 websites in the country for two years and rising to the top 100 several times, their global ranking and visitor base ranks them in the top 100K in the world.
